I need some guidance on which lines are best suited for inshore in April.
I currently have a 10wt clear int on a Velocity V4 and a 10wt full sink on Tioga 10. I also have a Redington AL9/10 without a line.
I'm guessing I will need a floating line or a floating with a sink tip. Which would be better suited? Will I need a warm weather line for that time of year?
The Velocity has the best drag of the bunch so which line should go on that (assuming I can find a decent sized Tarpon)?
I also have an 8Wt with a clear int and a floating line on a spare spool.
Use a floating or sink tip for the 10 for the tarpon. A int will work but may hinder you if you have to recast quickly. Fishing shoreline as we often do for snook and reds we use floating 95% of the time and the 8 is perfect. If the shorline fishing's not happening a sink tip will come in handy for trout, pompano, jacks etc in deeper water maybe 4-10' deep. There are some tarpon starting to show!
