I recently packed my 6 weight and headed to Steamboat Springs Colorado to fish the Elk and Yampa rivers. As this was my first trout fishing experience ever, I was unsure of what to expect. It ended out being a great trip giving me the chance to catch fish while nymphing, and sightfishing with the dry fly. I have a new found respect for these little fish...
