A few months ago I asked my mom what she wanted for her birthday and she said, “I want to go fishing” Having not fished all weekend and reading the rest of your reports I thought we would have a good day. Bait was very easy on the beach with great size pilchards and we were off. We had a late start and we fished a few spots at the bottom of the tide that produced a fish here and there, nothing exciting. I decided to hit one more spot before taking them to Panther for Lunch. The tide was Just starting to come in and we started hooking fish on every cast for an hour and decided to have some lunch.
After lunch we went to an outside point that was covered up with bait and we were on another strong bite for a few hours. My mom and Aunt Helen said there arms were sore so we packed it up and headed in. We caught too many Snook to count and several Redfish. Largest Snook was 34. We fished the outside points on the afternoon incoming tide. I think mom had a great birthday.
I love fall fishing
