Fished with Dr. John Cristini on Tuesday. Had a great time on the spin trip with action all morning. Started out catching some bait near Keewaydin. Shiners were getting blasted by snook so we just baited up and got right to it. Snook were active along with jacks. Dolphin were patrolling the area and the snook bite got quiet. Unfortunately for a jack the dolphin followed the boat and blasted one that we released. He brought the meal over to the boat to show off his skill at catching too. Pretty cool to see that dolphin come out of the water to snatch the jack crevalle.
Continued working mangrove points near the outside and eventually as the tide died so did our fishing. Good day with snook to 30" and small reds. Just missed his grand slam as the baby tarpon did not stay buttoned to our line for long.
Tight lines,
Capt. Ken
