Well Marcel and I went out to everybody's favorite pond X. We got there just after 6 and the action was slow. Before dark it started to heat up as I had 2 fish boil around my fly, although I felt neither of them. Marcel, on the other hand, jumped a couple fish that both got away. After about a half hour of darkness, he hooked an angry tarpon that battled him for almost 10 minutes before it spit the hook. I can't wait until he lands one. Action on my fly was slow, but right before we decided to leave, I got a big hit. Ended up being a decent snook. This pond rocks. I say we petition that all ponds should have to remove all of their bass, and replace them with mean tarpon and snook. Anybody want to sign my petition?
