Over our long weekend off of school my friend James and I went back to the heart of Rookery Bay. We set out hoping to hook and land a couple of Snook and if we were lucky a Redfish or two. We had no problem getting bait, but some of the other people were not so lucky; I guess it is just James's amazing ability to throw a cast net. Anyways on our way into Rookery we decided to anchor up and fish the pass, we were there for probably about a half an hour and got nothing. So we continued our journey into the islands. Since we had never fished back there before we decided we should just fish any spot that looked good. That planned worked out pretty good, landing us quite a few fish. James ended up with 6 Snook and a 22inch Redfish while i had 4 Snook and an 18inch Redfish. We also tryed for some trout during the end of the incoming but we couldn't find them. (if anyone know any good trout spots in Rookery, let me know)
Thanks,
Mitch
