I freed up a couple of hours yesterday afternoon and Capt. Aron and I decided to throw some jigs around Naples. We jigged First National Bay, Rookery Bay, and the tide was falling, and we were consistently catching fish. At the low tide, we saw the opportunity to throw a couple flys so Aron poled me around and I went to work. Before I knew it I was hooked up! To my damn ear!

I wish the feather earring 80's cock rock look was still in because I would have been the man! A little minor surgery from Dr. Blaisdell, and we were once again jigging.

Had almost the same thing when going out with Mark.

We where fishing Gordon pass and I was tossing the flies into the mangroves. One inaccurate cast and I was into a mangrove.
I followed the instruction of Mark and pulled at the line to dislogde the fly.
It worked and the fly catapulted right into my arm.
The barb was luckily not embedded to the dismay of Mark who wanted to tape a flyfishing surgery video at the spot.
