Last Saturday was a day off work for many people, but for 20 folks who volenteered their day off to help rig rods for kids, well, it was a long tough, but impressive day, and worth every minute. Fishing club members from area clubs got together at the Everglades Angler stock room at 8:30 AM, and kept coming in until the room was packed with men and women who affixed reels to rods, strung line through guides, tied knots to hooks and weights until over 500 rods and reels were fully assembled and ready to be fished by the hundreds of kids who will attend Kids Day at the Naples Pier. Thank you all for helping out with the assembly line! Seeing all those rods stacked and ready in the shop makes me grin and think of all the hard work you great folks put in on Saturday!!
