I decided to kill an hour in the evening today at the golf course that I work at by throwing some bugs at some bass. I tied on a black gurgler hoping to see a few bass blast my fly out of the water. I had fished until just about dark when I finally got my first whack. I set up and realized I had a decent fish on, and this fish was doggin me like a snook on my 6 wt. Well, it was a snook, and the first snook that I have ever seen come out of this piece of the Cocohatchee Strand, although I have heard that there have been a few others pulled out around this time of the year. I guess it was my lucky day.
