Joe Macomber invited me to help him christen his new boat last night. We left his dock about 7PM and slowly circled the Bay fly casting tiny minnow patterns under all the dock lights.

Joe knows the Bay alright. He positioned the boat and directed me to cast in the shadows, encouraging me to strip the fly slowly but erratically through the lit water. Huge ghost-like forms of big and little Snook darted and hung in the erie light.
It wasn't long before the christening was complete. We boarded at least 5 hefty Snook and one strong little Blue Fish as we cruised slowly in the shadows below the onlooking diners who smiled at us as they sipped their wine and supped above our heads in the opulant restaurants. We were focused on the shadowy Snook.
Thanks Joe, for a memorable South Florida night fishing trip. Let's fish again!
P.S. Notice Joe's cool
