The Pass was low and the tide had just begaun coming in when Pat Conti and I arrived around eight this morning. We explored Snook lies and I showed Pat the shelves, bars and hideaways while the water rose and the Pass filled. We had the place all to ourselves for most of the morning, except for a few kayakers and one canoe. The bait fish weren't numerous and the birds were only working so-so, but Pat is a very good caster and knows the retrieves that tempt Snook. He landed this Snook on a very light tippet.
When the water temps rise more and there are more bait fish around, Clam Pass is a great place to wade fish for Snook, Trout and maybe more!
Thanks for a real nice day wading, Pat.
