I am going to be on Marco Island during the first week in June. I am
hoping that snook will be in the surf, and that I may get a chance to
fish in the backcounty. I would appreciate any recommendations
regarding fly patterns

Thanks, Bob

Hi Bob,

June is a great time. The "DT" is a good fly to use on the beach. It's basically a keys style tarpon fly in white, #1 or 2. We have some at the shop. We also use alot of the EP flies such as the micro minnow, perfect minnows and the bay anchovy. Light colors for clearer water and darker colors for darker water. Black and purple are excellent. We have an extensive selection of EP flies. I will try to post some pics on our web site.
Thanks
Mark Ward
