Spent last week fishing a shallow mangrove bay at our condo near Bonita Springs. It was my first time flyfishing in Florida, and I was on a steep learning curve. Using the saltwater flies I had brought with me, in the first 2 days I only landing a single snook on an epoxy shrimp pattern.

I finally was able to get down to the Everglade Angler, met Mark at the shop, and he recommended a number of EP flies. The EP mullet fly he recommended became my goto fly, getting me into ladyfish and a 20" sea trout. The EP backcountry brown he suggested got me into a nice jack crevalle.

Thanks Mark for the tips and the suggested fishing locations. I didn't get out to any of the locals, but have filed them away for next year's trip!
