Hey Guys, the cool front that passed through early Friday morning and Thrusday night put a damper on the fishing it seemed. Friday after school I put in at Wiggins Pass and fish the mangroves and oyster beds. I got a couple small snook and a pretty nice sized trout. Later that evening, Mitch Villani and I decided to fish the lights there in the pass around Pelican Isle condos. There seemed to be plenty of bait under the lights but, we didnt get any hits. Saturday morning and early afternoon my friend and I again went out of Wiggins in hope to find some of the bigger fish. We caught plenty of small stuff and turned in early. The wind started picking up and we decided we wanted to get back early and prepare for the next day. The next day we put in at South Marco and fished some spots we knew of. We picked up a few small snook and some other "junk" fish not worth mentioning. About noon, in an attempt to get out of the wind we ran up into Robert's bay. There is a pipe sunken off the sandbar and it hold tons of mullet. We cast netted a couple and stuck them under bobbers, freelined behind the boat. We then waded around and found a deep drop off to the west side of the island which held thousands of mullet. And I mean thousands... More than I have seen in my life. We caught a couple nice snook on cotee jigs with jig tails on and landed a monster on an 8" mullet. Hopefully this weekend with the dead wind this week, the fishing will be a little bit better. and best of luck to ya'll
Also, I was wanting to know of any spots down in Marco that you guys would think were worth trying and if it was worth to make the run south?
