Hey guys, I am planning atrip down to FL with in the next couple of months and had many questions.

1) I need a very inexpensive place to stay, camping looks like what it is gonna be

2) Does anyone fish or have fished in Flamingo in florida bay? I know that there are campsites right on the water their for 14bucks a day, and was wondering if the fihing is good.

3) How old do you have to be to rent a boat? How much does it cost? Do I need to if I stay in Flamingo?

4) Are there any other places that are cheap to stay at in the everglades that I should look into?

5) any other advice is highly appreciated

I am on a pretty tight budget, and would rather not hire a guide. I dont mind walking and just exploring, but really would like t get into some fish like Jacks, snook, and possibly bones.

Caleb,

I fished the Premscott one day with Jeremy last fall, and met you while I was there. Give me a call here in Naples 239-287-2341.

Alright, I was able to find that motel you talked about Dave, now i need to work on two things, possibly 3.
1) Before when I was looking into going to flamingo the flight to MIA was not that bad at 209$ but now if i want to fly into APF its gonna cost me another 100$ making it 309$! Now I know that MIA is 2 hours away, but is there any othwr airports closer that I might find a better deal with? Like I said, my budget is exteremly limited, so 100$ decides if i can get a giude or even go or not.

2) If i do fly into Naples, how far is it from ther to the motel? Can I walk? Are there other things like shuttle that will bring me to the hotel?

3) Is it worth it to just rent a car and fly into MIA? I saw cars listed for 120$ a week and so that wouldnt be bad considering there will be 3 of us.
