I went to clam pass today and fished the incoming tide for a couple hours. Caught 2 snook, the first was 16" and I caught him in some deeper water with a tan Clouser. The second fish was 20" and I caught him by casting a Black and Purple EP up under the mangroves (Thanks for the fly tip Mark). They weren't big fish, but they were my first saltwater fish on fly, and I don't think I have ever had that much fun on a fishing trip when I only caught 2 fish.

That sounds good. I will come into the shop this week to look at the vises, and pick up a few extra flies. I will definitely try to fish this week. Thanks,

Scott

That's cool Scott, catching those Snook on the incoming. That's one thing about the pass, it often fishes well on ANY tide.

We've fished the pass many times and I can remember the first time I fished there....what a serene place it is!

Hey Mark, I'll be back in Naples October 17. I'll be guiding waders at Clam Pass, the Trail, etc. and I'd like to do some casting lessons.

Here's a picture of our friend, Jeremy Cameron taken on the East Outlet of the Kennebec in June.

Marshall

I have had a lot of fun fishing at Clam Pass the past couple of weeks. I am looking forward to getting to know my new home waters better. I would love to do a trip with you to the trail. Maybe we can hook up when you get here in October. Thanks

Scott
