Hi Guys,
I'm heading out to a wedding in early october in Naples. I'm an avid saltwater fly guy from california and would love to wet a line in the waters out there via a guide if possible.
What are the conditions out there typically in October?
I know nothing about florida waters out there, so any info, links or tips would be mucho appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Hi Paul,

Yes, tarpon are around but not as prevelant as the spring. It is typically one of the best times of the year as it's peak for Redfish, the snook are fattening up for winter and a host of other species can be had.

Thanks for the inquiry.

Hey Guys,
Sorry I lag with a report. Posted on my local boards but forgort to
send one out here. Had a great time out there with Capt. Aaron.
Drop a line at gary's board if you are in the southern california area for salt fishing.
We have fairly productive saltwater fishing with the kicker being corbina in the spring/summer timeframe. Basically our equiv of bones and of course the opportunities at leopards, smoothounds, loads of perch, yellowfin croaker and halibut.
My usual haunts are in the Santa Barbara area, but would be happy to show someone around for the day. I'm not a guide, this isn't a plug, I'm just a friendly fisherman.
You guys have a great fishery out there and I hope to make it out again sometime soon.
Happy fishin,
Paul
