On the 16th. I fished Gordon Pass.
I did my utmost to catch a fish but I blanked.
The water was murky and there was lots of seaweed in the
water making fishing difficult to say the least.
At least there was a proper sunset at the end of the day.

Sunset at Naples beach.

Since I hate to get skunked I visited my certified fish catching location at Sugden Park again.
Waterlevels had dropped since my last visit, fish where still present though.
My first catch was surprisingly a largemouth bass that hit the twisterfly.

Largemouth bass.

Even in the freshwater fishing was slow.
I managed to hook one little Snook half an hour before sunset.
I received quite some hits on the twisterfly but did missed a lot of strikes. There is some critter in the canal that bites of the tail of the twister and skillfully eludes being hooked.
So to get rid of this pesky critter I switched to a black clouser minnow and had a larger Snook on at sunset.

15 minutes after sunset I hooked another little Snook.
I ended the day with hooking a mystery fish that got away.
The last fish fought differently than the largemouths, snooks and mayan cichlids I had encountered before.
I will go back to the lake this afternoon and try to find out what those mystery fish are.

For the coming days things are going to be pretty interesting down here since one of these rotating storms is approaching dead on the location I am staying right now.
