In the afternoon I convinced Diamond Dave to go to Lake Avalon to try the back creeks.
The park was open but had received a beating just like the rest of the area.
A lot was changed when we arrived at the creek.
Some of the huge Australian pines where toppeled and the water had risen.
The Creek.
Diamond Dave fished a gurgler while I fish a clouser minnow.
There where signs of fish. I saw Mullet jump while Dave mentioned that there might be small Tarpon rolling.
I had two hits on the clouser but failed to hook the fish.
I changed to a EP micro minnow and fished the location where I
last had contact with the fish.
When the minnow sank it was intercepted by a Mayan Cichlid.
Mayan Cichlid.
The Mayan Cichlid looked like it had a rough time during the storm.
We fished untill sunset but the fish just would not take our flies.
Since the storm things had changed also fishingwise.
