Fishing Whitney O'Daniel for the last couple of days we have landed many snook and reds while sightfishing shallow lee shorelines. Todays morning trip while using a 1/4oz Hank Brown Weedless jig we boated 3 reds and a 6 snook. All sightfished! We saw 3times that many but, one can get nervous when it is you against the fish. Accuracy is important and the only true test of angling skills.
If the the usual gamefish aren't bittin' try searching for the many sharks
that tend to show up this time of the year in the shallows. Use ladyfish strips, 3/0hook and a little steel and hang on! They really pull.
