Fishing Conditions—Late December 2005 Ø The weather has cooled—and therefore surface water temps also Ø Baitfish—and thus the gamefish—are moving into the shallower water Ø Tides are generally lower overall per the winter season—the next week will have LOW TIDE from mid-morning to mid-afternoon Ø Water is clearing due to the limited rainfall Ø Thus SIGHTFISHING opportunities are improving FLIES—The Everglades Angler has an excellent selection of flies for these conditions—especially the highly productive Enrico Puglisi patterns. Baitfish Patterns: Anchovy; Silversides/Glass Minnow; Sardine/Pilchard; Mullet; and Herring/Bunker plus the new Slider patterns The Everglades Special pattern is a good one
