Hi,

The 7 is all you'll need unless you plan to fish some open water. We use floating 99% of the time. You're going to want to being throwing those EP Perfect Minnows and similar flies under the bushes for reds and snook. You may even find some snook cruising the open bays and mud flats on specific days. See the latest report on this forum.

Clam pass behind the Registry Resort can be good and "the ditch", highway 41 heading south toward Miami can hold snook and baby tarpon. Joannie's in Ochopee has a good lunch and is real Florida. We have some more specifics on our local fishing on our "Fishing Info Page".

Stop by the shop when your in town. We have a great selection of flies, custom leaders, clothing etc.

Thanks

Mark,

Thanks for the reply.
Is there wading involved with the fishing?
If so, what are the temperatures like? Do I need to bring waders or are wading boots enough?
Thanks

You will be doing some wading in Clam Pass. The water temp may be around 65, give or take. Wading boots are enough but they must be saltwater not felt. The Orvis Christmas Island or Low top Flats booty works well.
Thanks
Mark
