I talked to Diamond Dave today. He fished the morning incoming tide yesterday and saw over 25 snook over 30" managing to land 6. The conditions were great. The morning was cool but as the sun broke through the mist, the water warmed, the tide started to rise, and the snook were on the cruise. What's interesting is that the fish were mostly in open water chasing bait fish. The world record snook we have at the shop was caught in similar conditons, actually it may no longer be the world record. Nice job D.

Oh man what an epic day that was. The following day the water was so warm and the winds calm and a friend of mine found some big laid up tarpon and managed to jump a couple. As far as the snook go, I have had the best snook month ever this december, and as it gets colder those fish and more should move back in the places that make it easier o get them on the fly.

check out this image of one of my december snook
