Hi everyone!!
My wife Shelby and I are comming down in March, and plan to hang out at Tigertail beach a few days. I planned on bringing the sage 9' 8wt and scout the shoreline. Anyone care to share some first hand expierience w/this area?? Ive spent a lot of time angling in Fl just not here. (usually in the keys) Very much look forward to stopping in at evergaldes anglers for supplies. Also, ive heard the canals in the area can be excellent for baby tarpon and smaller snook. What should i be tying over the next month for these spots?? Any help is greatly appreciated!! I hope youre all well!! Tight Lines,Chris

Never fished Marco area, but you should give the canals along US 41 a try, baby tarpon, snook, & bass can all be caught. I am going to be in Naples just before you, when I return I shall let you know how I did. Tie some Clousers in various colours, they are always a good bet.

I'll be there in May....I won't have much time to scout. Can you provide a little detail about US 41 and the canals......location, GPS and the times that the fish will be there!?>?!?!

Also, I'll be there for the ASG conference.....anyone planning to attend that event? There is a chance for me to attend a fish outing...for what ever that means.

Hope for low wind (march is our windiest month) and warm and the beach fishing can be ok. Its a little early for our beach fishing but jacks, lady fish and trout can be caught. Try the shallows on either tide, drop offs and deeper water with sink tip lines. There can be alot of current depending on the tide. What are your dates? Stremaers and clouser in different colors. I know it's not very specific but it can change. Dark colors work well in murky water which you may have.

May can be great, the wind is gone and the beach can become crystal clear and you can site fish snook. They will cruise the edge of the water next to the sand so walk up from the sand 20-30' so you dont spook them.

Thanks
Mark
