Well Estero keeps coming through in the catching department.
Saturday I fished with Bill Prange and Dan koller and had great Snook and Jack action all morning. At the last stop of the day Bill decided he had had enough, but after some convincing I had him casting a fresh Sardine into a cut between 2 islands, and out of nowhere a oversized Snook blew his bait to the surface and then finally inhaled the helpless minnow. After a lengthy fight on light tackle, we boated a beautiful 18lb 38 inch Estero bay Snook. What an end to a great morning. (pictures to come)

Today I fished with Jeff Zimm and his two sons Butch(12) and Christian(9). Let me say these kids could fish . We started out having many bites but no hook ups. After some coaching, the boys figured out when to set the hook. We landed many snook up to 27 inches and had big jacks inhaling everything we threw at them. Butch decided he wanted to try and catch a jack on fly. And after 3 eats and missed hook sets, Butch finally buried the hook into a 5 -7 lb jack. Butch is an incredible fly caster for age 12 and we plan on putting him on his first Tarpon this summer.
At the last stop we caught more Snook and Dad sealed the deal with a nice slot redfish.

What a way to spend the weekend at work :D
