Captains Ken Chambers and Aron Blaisdell report that the fishing remains good in the 10,000 Islands.
The offshore winds have pushed bait fish into the 10,000 Islands, making for good bait and plug fishing on the outside points and the inner bays. Because of the offshore winds, water clarity and the fishing is better on the outgoing tides. Snook and redfish are being caught in numbers, and trout are begining to be present on the grass beds as the water continues to cool down.
The winds are expected to die down by the weekend, and that coupled with lower morning tides should result in good early morning fly fishing.
