Hello my name is John I will be coming down to Naples in December and this will be my first time bringing down a kayak. So I was wondering where some good places to launch are and what fish will be biting well that time of year. Thanks

I have never been in Naples that late in winter so I do not know what kind
of fish species would be available.
I also do not know how crowded Naples gets in winter but from the stories of the locals it sounds like a zoo and that may reflect on the waterways.
If I had a kayak though I would probably launch it at the public boatramp near Everglades Angler and fish the shorelines from there to Port Royal
maybe to where Gordon pass begins.
Docks and mangroves would be my target and I would be on the lookout
for breaking fish or birds in the bay.
I would also stay close to shore to avoid speeding boaters and large wakes.
Hi John, You could also launch at the highway 951 boat ramp which is the road to Marco Is. south of Naples. There is quick access to alot of backcountry exploring and fishing around there.
