Captain Kevin Merritt reports that the fishing remains excellent.

South of Naples, snook have moved into the backcountry creeks. Redfish have moved into the middle bays. And the largest trout of the year are on the outside points. Jigs and EP spawning shrimp flies in tan and olive have been effective.

In the Naples area, snook in the small to 26" range are being caught on white streamer flies.

A new moon on Wednesday will bring strong spring tides. Low morning tides will provide good fly fishing opportunities.
