Captain Tim Daugherty reports that the fishing between Naples and Marco Island was excellent the last two days.

The full moon overnight contributed to very low spring tides in the early morning, which drove the game fish into the deeper troughs and holes.

Big snook up to 36" were caught on jigs in the deep troughs and holes.

Trout were caught on jigs on the grass beds at the drop off to deeper troughs and holes.

Redfish were taken on top waters on the falling tide.

Low morning tides and rising afternoon tides as the week progresses should yield good afternoon fly fishing opportunities.
