Captain Kevin Merritt reports that the fly fishing south of Naples has been awesome.

Snook are being taken in the creek mouths on EP rattle flies in the darker colors.

Redfish are feeding in the bigger bays. Tan, rust and olive EP spawning shrimp flies have been the hot ticket.

Trout are being caught in the holes in the backcountry on pink and chartreuse Clouser minows.

Pompano are going for pink and chartreuse Clouser minows presented with 300 grain sink tip lines at the deeper outside points and drop offs.

The Southeast winds are expected to subside by the weekend. The fishing should be excellent in the creek mouths.

Our shop currently has in stock the flies mentioned above as well as Orvis Generation 3 Depth Charge sinking lines in 200, 250, 300 350 and 400 grain weights.
