The cooler weather has forced the fish in the backcountry to return to winter time habit patterns. The fish are now congregated in the deeper holes.

Captain Danny Fabian's clients have landed snook, redfish and black drum in the deep holes near the shallows on live shrimp.

Captain Kevin Merritt's clients have also landed snook, redfish and black drum in the deep holes near the shallows on dark clouser minnow flies retrieved slowly. We have these flies in stock here in our shop.

Captain Kevin reports that the warmer weather that is predicted for the weekend should bring the fish out of the deep holes onto the shallows, presenting the opportunity for site fly fishing.
