The fishing has been excellent the last few days. Snook are in the passes and the beaches. Try the Monkey Brains fly (in stock) for these elusive spooky linesiders. For the mandrove snook the Everglades Special in #1 has been productive.
Tarpon are off the beaches and in the passes. First light is a great time of day to fish this time of year. Sink tip lines in the passes can help get the fly get down for the tarpon and also will produce some bigger snook.

Capt. Tim Daugherty reports:
I had the pleasure of fishing Al Lees and his wife a few days. We found a hot spot and sat on it for 2 hours one morning beating up slot snook. We were fishing south of Goodland on a spot I had found a few days before. The tide was falling and we were heading up current casting artificials cross current to staging fish. The strikes we hard and Al continued to catch snook after snook. Great days with great people equal one great fishing trip.
