Captains Ken Chambers and Tim Daugherty report that the morning fishing south of Naples is outstanding. Morning conditions continue to look promising over the next several days.
Captain Ken has been departing at 6:00AM for fly fishing trips, and his anglers have scored well on snook. Reds in lesser numbers have also been caught, as well as baby tarpon up to 40 pounds. Captain Ken says that the action falls off considerably after 10:30AM and does not pick up again until things cool down in the evenings.
Captain Tim has also found the early morning action to be best His anglers have nailed many snook as well as a lesser number of reds on soft plastic lures over and around oyster beds on the falling tide.
