These Triple Tail (Lobotes surinamensis) were taken last week with Cooper Cordin from Florida sportfishing Magazine. Mid afternoon sight fishing on fly. Brown Crab patterns worked the best with this 20 lb monster taken on my Orvis T3 9wt. We caught several more smaller ones 5 to 10lb that we kept for the grill. Everyone always thinks Tarpon or snook but there is nothing like watching a fat Triple Tail suck down a fly. What a fun and different way to sight fish.
