Yesterday late in the afternoon I had another go at Gordon pass.
I arrived maybe an hour or so before sunset and encountered
hunting Ladyfish at the beach.

There where also some small Jacks mixed in with the ladyfish.
I am beginning to think that the big fish are hiding from me.
The small Jacks had a large appetite though.

We had a nice sunset on the 12th, it looked like the rains would start to pour but in the end it stayed dry.

Normally the fish stop biting after sunset but on this day fish where still active when the sun was already down.
At the rocks some predators where chasing the baitfish, I did receive some bites but could not get into fish.
When I fished a gurgler I finally hooked up to a small Snook.

Later in the evening the gurgler was totally destroyed by a fish.
When I continued fishing with a creasefly the same thing happened.
I was out of surface flies and called it a day.

This afternoon I will give the pass another try, I have heard rumours of bluefish being caught.
