Capt. Tim Reports:
"I had the pleasure of fishing John Craig and son on a 3 day fishing trip last week. We decided to mix it up and fish 2 days out of Goodland and one day in Estero Bay.
The weather was just perfect in the 10,000 Islands as we fished the incoming tide all morning. With a handful of snook caught on artificial we then turned our attention to hunting some red fish in the shallow waters. We got into position on the outside islands and began to cast paddle tails to and around the outside points with current on them. With in a few cast we had out first fish on, a nice 26 inch red. After the tide had risen we headed to deeper water to fish for pompano. This is one of my favorite fish to catch on light tackle as they hit hard and run fast. The bite was on and pomps were skipping all around us. With a few taken for the grill we moved on.
On our last day we fished Estero Bay. This is one of my favorite spots to fish. We started the morning, fishing the incoming tide for snook. It wasn't long before we had our first hook up. A nice 34 inch snook. We worked the whole shoreline and caught a dozen or so snook. What a great way to start the morning! The afternoon was just as great with snook, trout and reds caught.
I have to say this is my favorite time of the year to fish. Good times with good people equal good fishing. Look forward to seeing you on the water."
Thanks Capt. Tim
