Hi, If you have a cast net shiners are the best. Snook will cruise right along the surf so walkup from the water 20-25'. Also, you can soak the bait in the trough before the sand bar. Live shrimp also work or use a jig with a piece of shrimp on it for smell. Spoons also work and cover alot of territory. maybe try clam pass in north Naples. At lower tides you can walk up into the pass and fish the shorlines and open water.
Hope this helps.

I seem to do best farther south along Naples Beach. The rocks at Gordon's Pass will produce a little of everything. Cut bait works well, but so do spoons, plugs, etc. I've had days where I couldn't keep the jacks in the 8 to 12 pound range off my flies. Talk about fun!! As Mark said, the snook on the beach are great fun, and it is almost like hunting as much as it is fishing. Just spot them, put your cast way out in front of them, and bring it past them or going away. That is some of the funnest fly fishing I have ever done. Good luck.
