Fishing has been ok the last couple of days. The glass minnows are thick along the beaches and passes and the mackeral, snook, jacks and tarpon are there to but I think the fish are so stuffed it can be hard to get them to bite. Flies are working well using flies that imitate the minnows.

I fished the beach on Sanibel yesterday and today. Had the most luck real early. Saw thousands of snook, mostly schoolies, just laid up or cruising slowly and not willing to even look at a fly except right in the morning. Did manage to catch a fat 32 incher yesterday. They all seem to avoid they fly, but not really spook. The fish aren't too hungry after their morning feeding frenzy I guess. TONS of bait (glass minnows, threadies, and mullet) Hopefully the bait thins out soon.
