Fishing has been good in the early mornings and evenings. The recent full moon has made for some great early and late afternoon tides. The tides are strong and the bite has been on.

I fished with friends Mark and Mac Strong the other day and the daybreak bite was on in Rookery Bay. Tarpon were rolling thick and the reds, snook and jacks were eating top water.

We pulled into Rookery Bay after tarpon fishing at first light near the beach with no success. The fish were busting all over. We tied on some Bagley's Jumpin ' Mullets and proceded to catch a couple of nice reds, a couple of jacks, hooked a tarpon and landed quite a few snook. Plug fishing is one of my favorite methods of fishing. You can cover alot of territory and be precise with your casts. Mac and Mark are excellent fisherman and know how to fish and cast. It was one of the most memorable mornings I've had with a couple of long time friends.

Thanks Mark and Mac!

Here's a couple of pics.
