Im going to be in the parkshore area staying near the beach next week, would like to do some beach fishing. Have a net and a couple spinning rods. in the past, have had a few snook on the line basically in 1 foot of water, but have never landed anything of substance.

any suggestions on times, locations (im about a 15 minute walk to clam pass from the south), bait/lures?

anyone had any luck fishing the bay near venitian village? boat rental guy told me that snook love the docks at night back there

thanks!

The lights at night are great. I would use live shrimp or lures and flys that imitate a shrimp or small bait fish. Start by casting to the shadows of the light instead of right in the middle. Also this is a good time of year to walk the beach and throw in the bait schools. White jigs (I like white Berkely gulp shrimp) or gold or silver spoons or flies that imitate the bait fish. Walk south to Gordons pass and be there at daylight. that should give you some good shots at fish as well as all the small jetty's and piling just to the North.
