I am still pondering about the purchase of a small stream flyrod.
Last fall I bought the Superfine 7-11 at EA for the close quarter fishing.

Since I am soon becoming a member of a German fishing club (that's the neighboring country to where I live - Netherlands) I am thinking of buying yet a shorter rod to contend with the overgrown stream where I will fish.

Below I have some pictured of the stream I will fish. It is all shrubs and trees, complete jungle to me. What should I get to fish there

The stream was stocked with brookies and rainbows in the past but currently the main focus is brown trout. Besides that there are some other species (mostly shiners) that can be caught on the fly.

I am afraid that the trout are very wary with those high banks and shallow stretches. Only the deep holes at fallen trees and undercut banks will likely hold fish that are lying deep. It will be a challenge to fish there and actually get something. At least for me since I was used to fish larger and more easy streams.

Maine, sounds good. I guess I will just end up at the doorsteps of Everglades Angler this fall which is by no means a bad thing.
Below a picture of the easy water on my future fishing grounds, no problem with casting there.

Yep, we did adress the issue with the rod so all will be fine in the end.
Just have not made a decision what to get yet.

After my sightseeing trip to my new fishing grounds I figured a superfine trout bum might be to long. I am not sure if I should opt for 6,6 TLS instead. I guess some of the guys at EA and on the forum must be crawling through the brushes in MT or PA sometime in the year and could give me advice on this issue.

My next Florida visit should be sometime this fall. Still not sure if I should opt for beginning of October or get earlier in September. Any Tarpon still stragling on the beaches at September ?
