Fished Monday with Tom Davis from NC. He was on an extended fishing road trip down one side of Fl into the Keys and over here. He wanted small tarpon. This time of the year no problem. We were into the tarpon until
storms chased us off the water at 2:15. We jumped to many to count, I like his technique. He would hook them and then after a while put some
slack into and would jump off and then get right back on another. I never
had to get dirty, like that!
The fly of the day was Black and Purple, you guessed that much I'm sure, MuddlerMinnow. This month is dedicated to the great fly in my monthly cloumn Fishing the Skinny, Outdoor Florida mag.
We did manage to land two slams on fly as well.
Let's go fishing!
